Our Better Woodlands for Wales project, funded by The Forestry Commission and Environment Wales, has enabled us to make a significant difference to Felin Bach's 7 acres of woodland, turning it from an overgrown jungle to an accessible woodland, including wheelchair access to most areas, with space to expand the available onsite outdoor activities. Our future plans include a marked nature trail, an orienteering course, a maze, a traversing climbing wall and a boardwalk with pond dipping area.

Without the help of BTCV we would not have been successful in our bids for funding and would not have been able to complete the woodland work as quickly as we have. They partnered us with Coleg Menai and their students who require the opportunity to do community service whilst working towards the Welsh Baccalaureat qualification. The students have been amazing, they have worked wonders on large areas of woodland overgrown by laurel and have helped to plant some trees. We owe them a really big thank you along with some of our own young and adult volunteers who have given up their free time to help too.
